Heather Washington, NDGAA Registered Member and professional pet stylist and her team are trained and knowledgeable professionals that understand the safety of grooming is just as important as ensuring a positive experience for your pup.
Groomingdales is a full-service dog salon offering spa packages, pet styling, bath and brush packages, and much more! We even offer cat and dog day care and pet sitting services! You name it and we can do it! We have a fully trained and professional staff with years of experience in the pet industry and a state-of-the-art salon located in Apex, NC! We proudly provide our services to pet owners throughout Holly Springs, Cary, NC and the surrounding areas.
Owner and Master Stylist Heather Washington has a passion for dogs and is adept at making them feel pampered from head to paw. Her hand selected team of talented professional stylists which includes her daughter, Darian Washington, who’s grown up in the salon learning the trade. Each member of the Groomingdale’s team has unique expertise so they are able to offer renowned services to a large clientele of any breed or size.

Hello! My name is Heather Washington and I have been grooming for 33 years. At home, I have 2 European Boxers named Zavyur and Zyion. I have lived in Apex for about 20 years. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education, and a Grooming Certificate from Maryland Grooming School in which I graduated top of my class. In the past, I have taught grooming courses at Wake Tech and PetSmart Corp. During college, I had a bad experience in getting my Shih Tzu’s groomed. This bad experience inspired me to jump into grooming!

Hey! My name is Natalea Baker and I have been grooming for 4 years. I have 2 dogs at home, a Goldendoodle and a Lab/Boxer mix. I am 21 years old and from Harnett County. One of my favorite things to do is go to the lake with my family every weekend. In 5th grade I wanted to bring my dog to school for a project and was told to research careers. That's how I stumbled into my grooming career!

Hello! My name is Briza and I have been grooming for about 5 years, but have more prior experience working with animals. At home I have 2 cats, Luna and Zuko. I was born in NC and I enjoy anything art or nature related. Before becoming a groomer, I was a vet assistant in Tijuana, Mexico. I got inspired to jump into grooming during my time there and attended grooming school in Mexico City.

Hey! My name is V and I have been grooming for about 3 years. At home I have a Maltipoo and 2 Finches. I was originally born in Guanajuato, Mexico but I moved to NC when I was 2. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish! I got into grooming when I first got my dog to learn how to take care of him. After giving it a try, I fell in love with it. I enjoy working with dogs and seeing new faces so it quickly became a passion of mine!

Hi my name is Darian. I have been grooming for 10 years, but in reality I grew up in the groom shop watching my mom every day. I'm originally from West Virginia and moved to North Carolina while in elementary school. I've had a love for working with dogs from a young age, it just seemed natural to become a groomer. I do have 2 amazing dogs, a 2 year old German Shepherd named Ricco. As well as the Groomingdale’s official correspondent Nizmo.

Hello! My name is Chantal and I have been grooming for 21 years. At home I have a 3 year old Husky, Eros, and a 13 year old cat, Gizmo. I was born and raised in CA, which is also where I started my grooming career. In 2017, I moved to NC for a fresh start. I had always known that I wanted to work with animals and grooming was something that I stumbled across and got very interested in. I love that I get to help care for people’s fur babies while also putting my creativity to work.

Hey! My name is Anshi Saharan and I have been working at Groomingdales For about 7 ½ months. I do not have any dogs at home because my mom is allergic, but in the future I would love to own a German Shepherd! I was born in NJ but have lived in CN and NC for most of my life. I am currently attending Green Level High School and set to graduate in December. I chose to work at Groomingdales because I enjoy being around animals, and my favorite part about being here is the amazing family I've gained!

Hi! My name is Chazz Washington and I have been a pet Nutritionist for 2 years. At home, I have 2 European Boxers named Oziris and Zafir. I have lived in Apex for over 20 years. I have received my Bachelors and Master's degrees from Lenoir-Rhyne University and am currently working on my Doctorate degree. I got into pet nutrition when I had a sick Boxer who the local vets were no longer able to help due to a rare birth defect. So through my deep dive into the world of pet nutrition, I was able to give my Boxer a great life and it inspired me to want to help as many pets as I can!
